BeatsBase playlists

What are they?

BeatsBase playlists are simply set lists uploaded by DJs for the benefit, inspiration and scrutiny of the wider DJ community. As with tracks and mixes, each playlist can be viewed, discussed and voted on with the most popular appearing in the Hot List.

How do I add a playlist to BeatsBase?

Once registered with BeatsBase, clicking on the ‘BeatsBase Console’ link will take you to your very own admin area where amongst other options you can add your own playlists to BeatsBase.

Either by selecting ‘Add/edit my playlists’ from the quick list or by clicking the ‘My playlists’ tab, you will be directed to the add playlist form where, by entering a title (required), description, and genre for your playlist and hitting ‘Save’, you can add new playlists to BeatsBase.

Once created, you are then required to add the details of the tracks which make up your playlist. You can do this in two ways.

Firstly, if you want to add tracks which are already contained in the BeatsBase database you can use the ‘Search’ function on the ‘Edit playlist’ page to find the appropriate track, using the ‘Add’ button opposite to include the song.

Alternatively, you can enter the details for a brand new track in the ‘add a brand new track’ form at the bottom of the page. This will not only include the new track in your playlist but will also upload it as a new track to the BeatsBase database.
